Svarti Loghin ‎– Skog CD 2014

Svarti Loghin was once lumped into the so-called depressive black metal subgenre when people thought they were melancholic about all things existential but the early black metal years seems to be all over for this band. What we have here on their fourth album, Skog, is mostly an acoustic album with spoken parts dwelling on folk rock and ambient soundscapes. Depressive and melancholic?. Well i guess thats up to the listeners to decide. Its laidback and atmospheric and feeds on dark energy, so some might feel its depressing while others see the beauty of it. No matter what, im sure Skog is an album that Svarti Loghin have done with some warmth in their heart.
